Dr. David J. Childs is Associate Professor of Social Studies Education and History at Northern Kentucky University. His research is centered in African American history, popular culture, education and theology. He earned Masters degrees in American History and Social Studies Education at Miami University of Ohio where he also earned his Ph.D. in Education and American history. Dr. Childs has published over eighty articles and essays in Black studies, American history, theology and social studies education.
