Ida Jones

A historian and archivist whose research, writing, and work have made significant contributions to the study of African American history, women’s history and culture. She is the Associate Director of Special Collections and University Archivist at Morgan State University, making her the first archivist in the university’s history. She previously worked as the Assistant Curator of Manuscripts at Howard University’s Moorland-Spingarn Research Center for 15 years, and her leadership positions include serving as the National Director of the Association of Black Women Historians from 2011 to 2013.
